An Easter Picnic by the Sea

AmelieAnne has had a little break from posting.....a 'road tour' with friends and no access to blogland! But, my touring adventures can wait until next time.
Until then, I would like to share a few photos of our  picnic on the headland amongst the seagulls and magpies and the many, many tourists enjoying the glorious Easter sunshine.
With thermos filled, hot cross buns buttered and crochet project in basket, we set off to enjoy the sun and fresh sea air for an hour or so.

I love Easter buns....don't you? Fresh or slightly warmed, full of dried fruit and lots of butter! Accompanied by a cup of coffee....the best morning tea to be had!

I am crocheting a doily as part of a birthday present. It is supposed to be 'vintage style'......what do you think of the colours? I will show the completed project soon as I have almost finished!

Happy Easter, everyone!

  1. I do like the colours. And the only thing better than (or as good as) hot cross buns is home-baked German apple cake for an Easter treat!

    1. Home-baked German apple cake with homemade custard! Yum! And maybe a chocolate Easter egg as well!
